Playing sports in high school I was put through the same ‘cookie cutter’ workout as every other athlete. I saw minimal physical improvement, but the true frustration came with the frequent and unnecessary injuries. Near the end of my high school experience I was genuinely convinced that I was physically not capable of: A) gaining strength, B) simple daily comfort due to back/neck injuries, C) enjoying fitness again! I started seeking out physical trainers to help get me to where I wanted to be in terms of my body, but I still found myself struggling with popping joints, noticeable in-balances of strength, etc…
As if the clouds opened up, I finally found Steve. Even after a few sessions I could tell that something was going to change, and month after month led to increased physical improvements. By the time I was heading off to college in the northeast, I felt like a different person. In retrospect, I shouldn’t have been worried about keeping up my physical improvements without Steve’s watchful gaze; many trainers just tell you to go lower, lift harder, run more, but not at Hoffackers. A session with Steve isn’t just a tiring workout, but it is an educational period as well. Steve made sure that I truly understood every exercise and its benefits. Working in 5 states and 2 countries for various internships while in college, my physical health has been a great resource, but Steve’s transformation of my body has indirectly benefitted me in other ways as well. Whether it is focusing in a meeting without back spasms or sleeping through the night before a big exam, my physical health has benefitted me all around. Genuinely, I can’t thank Steve Hoffacker enough for the difference he has made in my life as a student, an employee, and a human being.
